SEND Supply Teacher An outstanding co-educational SEND School in East London requires day-to-day cover across Key Stages 3-4 covering a variety of subjects. Primary or Secondary Teachers who are able to teach across subjects, particularly PSHE are required on a day-to-day basis for supply cover. You will be experienced teaching in UK schools, have excellent behaviour management and an understanding and commitment to special education. The role will involve a mix of pre-bookings in advance and morning bookings from 7:30am each day. The school is looking for someone who can think of their feet, is resilient and still loves teaching. Given the school’s location, it would suit someone who’s based near an Overground train station or drives (as there’s onsite parking available). While a formal SEND qualification isn’t essential, an understanding of complex needs, autism and challenging behaviours is required. This is a rare opportunity to join a vibrant and well-run SEND school in East London. Students are supported by an experienced and talented team of specialist staff who work in close unison to ensure a tailored education for each student. Students participate in a wide range of lessons including science, Food, ICT, PE and various school trips to local attractions. Students have mixed and complex needs, therefore physical restraint training, ASDAN experience and other relevant SEND qualifications are ideal but not essential requirements. Applicants must be fully available to start ASAP and hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate (registered on the Update Service). To Apply:To apply for this position, please go to the Opogo website via the button below.
