Job Description

The Income Collection team is renowned for its friendliness, knowledge, and integral role in delivering exceptional customer service.We prioritise empathy and a genuine desire to assist, ensuring that our customers receive the utmost care and guidance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively chase arrears and minimise debt to ensure the financial well-being of our community.
  • Process and administer all rent protection insurance claims, ensuring efficient and timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with mortgage lenders, solicitors, debt recovery specialists, and external agencies when necessary to expedite recovery processes.
  • Attend County Court sessions to present cases when possession is required, minimising income loss for the Association.
  • Negotiate realistic repayment agreements that consider tenants financial circumstances while adhering to Swans policies.
  • Provide advice on rent payment options and offer support to the Hera team in managing calls and inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in income collection, including tenants rent and leasehold service charges.
  • In-depth knowledge of housing and leasehold management legislation, including the L&TA 1985 and CLRA 2002.
  • Familiarity with service charges, including preparing and issuing notices.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Membership of RICS, ARLA, IRPM, CIH, or another relevant professional property management organisation would be highly desirable.
