Graduate Teaching Assistant - Newham

  • Empowering Learning are recruiting Graduates for our highly regarded Exploring SEND workshop on Tuesday 22nd October 2019. If you are a graduate considering a future in teaching but dont have any classroom-based experience, then our SEND workshop will give you the opportunity to start your career in Education as a Teaching Assistant within mainstream and SEND schools. Our SEND specialist will deliver an Introduction to working with children and young adults with special needs. This workshop will also look into dealing with Challenging Behaviour and will help you better understand how to deal with this when working as a Teaching Assistant.Job Responsibilities
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
  • Ability to engage and support pupils
  • Assist with personal care
  • Supervising children behaviour

  • Happy to support children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities

  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 4-5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
