Job Description

Summary If youre interested in becoming a Retail Team Leader and have the appetite to engage with visitors and boost our retail potential, then you could be the person for this job.Salary: 17375 per annumHours: 37.5 hours per weekContract: Fixed term until July 2022 What its like to work here InStanden shop, youll find a range of Arts & Crafts and Morris & Co. inspired gifts, textiles and ceramics, souvenirs and locally produced products so our visitors can take a piece of Standen home with them. What youll be doing Youll be required to support the day to day management of the property retail operation so that it is commercially successful and consistently exceeds our visitors expectations. Youll monitor stock and merchandise products to achieve stretching financialtargets, leading by example when it comes to maximising our profitability and income. Youll also supervise paid and voluntary retail staff and work effectively alongside colleagues elsewhere in the property to deliver great service to visitors, promotingand enhancing the propertys sense of place. Who were looking for

  • Able to demonstrate strong customer service ethos
  • Experience of working in a retail environment including selling and merchandising skills.
  • Strong people skills enabling good relationships.
  • Competent IT skills, previous experience with retail management systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to promote products to meet sales targets.
  • Knowledge of retail best practice including selling and merchandising skills and effective space management.
  • Awareness of health and safety compliance requirements.
  • Application of data analysis and numeracy.
  • Good understanding of stock control methods.
