Job Description

Youth Worker Salary: Circa £21,000 per annumHours: 37 hours per week - Fixed Term (up to December 2023)Location: County DurhamAbout this charityThey aim to be the UK’s leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work.This post is part funded through ESF, under the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme - 1.2 Sustainable Integration of Young People into the Labour Market; this post will spend 100% of time on DurhamWorks Programme for Schools and the funding will cease on 31st December 2023.About the roleThe role of Youth Worker will lead in the engagement with targeted communities to provide and promote inclusive opportunities for young people and young adults to develop positive working relationships that will enable them to achieve their potential. You will work with vulnerable young people and young adults who have significant and complex barriers to help and support them to identify solutions and progress towards entry into education, employment or training.A bit about youThey are seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic professionals with proven experience of engaging, coaching and supporting Young People and Young Adults who are NEET to progress. You will have experience of engaging partners and partnership working to provide solutions for progression for Young People and Young Adults. You will be young person focused, having an understanding of your own role and its relationship to the customer, continuously focusing on seeking to exceed young persons expectations.You’ll thrive working in a busy and friendly environment and will be able to work using your own initiative, taking responsibility for achievement of identified programme targets as well as having the ability to work effectively as a member of a team within a complex, changing and challenging environment.Closing date: Midnight on Wednesday 21st April 2021APPLICATION PROCESS:Please click the apply button.
