Assistant Quantity SurveyorCivils ContractorTeessideSalary Negotiable Rapidly growing civils contractor with a great reputation across the northeast have an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. The company are growing year upon year and offer lots of opportunities for career progressionand development.Im looking for an Assistant or Trainee QS. Perhaps you are a graduate looking for an opportunity to join a market leader in the northeast, or you could still be studying for your degree. Whats important is being able to demonstrate experience of assistingan experienced/senior QS and have the drive and ambition to progress to running your own projects.Key Responsibilities * Supporting Senior QS with the following tasks* Preparing bills of quantities and re-measure works * Procurement of sub-contractors* Managing costs on a wide variety of projects* Cost value analysis including cost value reporting* Price up variations* Valuing works as they progress and agreeing final accounts* Assist in Compiling project budgets* Identify and support the management of project risks and opportunities* Provide commercial advice to the site team as and when required* Develop awareness of the different building contracts in current use* Preparing and analysing costings for tenders* Assist with the preparation of contractual claimsYou will need a full driving license as the role will require site visits.This is a great opportunity to join a well-known business with a strong presence in the construction industry in the north.
