Job Description

Are you looking for a Senior Consultant role that revolves around driving cyber security improvementsDo you want to work with very interesting tech at a senior level in a position that offers plenty of autonomyOur client is a leading Managed Service Provider in Durham that are looking to expand their leading security team. Theyre looking to appoint a Security Professional who will help drive their clients systems and procedures.A passion for cloud technology is integral.This role is suited for someone looking for a good work/life balance within in a role that allows you to utilise your well-developed knowledge of ISO27001 and security procedures.Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a strategic information security programme and oversee an information security team with a range of governance, risk, compliance and technical skills.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior team members.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with clients and prospects.
  • Deliver projects including information security strategy and data protection consultancy and assessments against frameworks such as ISO 27001:2013 and Cyber Essentials.
Experience:
  • Highly knowledgeable in risk management and information security governance holding "Head of Information Security / CISO" level roles or equivalent.
  • Experience leading and managing strategic information security programmes.
  • Good understanding of information security standards and best practice including Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001:2013.
  • Experience in security policy creation, risk management and audit best practice.
  • Experience co-ordinating Security Monitoring / SIEM services and incident response processes.
  • Currently hold information security certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Implementer, CISSP, CISM & CISA.
