Job Description

Purpose of the RoleOur Security Ambassadors work as part of our team to ensure the Shopping Centre is a clean and safe environment for all our visitors. They assist with the smooth running of the shopping centre maintaining our high levels of cleanliness, safety & securityon a daily basis. To assist with the smooth running of the shopping centre and to assist with all emergency situations when they occur. This includes providing visible security cover to the Centre, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV(by suitably trained and licensed staff) and controlling contractors and deliveries to the Centre.Applicants must be able to cover all shifts.Key Responsibilities

  • To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
  • To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the centre.
  • To carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by Centre Manager or their delegated deputy.
  • Implement & maintain cleaning/sterilising regimes as part of centres COVID-19 strategy.
  • Assist cleaning team with cleaning of the outdoor mall areas to include shopfronts as required.
  • Compacting of bulk waste, segregation of waste for recycling and baling of plastic and cardboard.
  • To assist with enquiries from the public if so required.
  • To assist with promotions if so required.
  • To cover any shift/duty as may be required, including nightshift.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Previous security experience in a busy shopping environment Must hold relevant SIA Licences for the role. Ability to demonstrate good levels of customer service at all times. Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations. Honest and reliable work ethic. Willingness to undertake Cleaning duties as required. Willingness to partake in on-site training for emergency procedures. Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings as and when required. Willingness to undertake additional training and career development. Well presented.Working HoursAs per duty roster working 4 days from seven including weekends, bank holidays, nights and evenings.Applicants MUST have:SIA DS LicenceSIA CCTV PSS LicenceFirst Aid At Work QualificationAvailability to cover all shiftsDesirable but not Essential:Full UK driving licenceAccess to own transport
