Job Description

Our client is a leading electronic manufacturing business based in the North East of England, specialising in the production of high-tech scientific instruments. They are currently seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join their team in Durham on a permanentbasis.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ISO accreditation and continually improve the quality management system.
  • Lead and assist in reducing supplier quality problems, particularly in Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
  • Lead and assist in addressing shop floor quality issues, aiming to reduce the number of non-conformities (NCs) in production.
  • Lead and assist in the companys Out of Box Quality (OBQ) process.
  • Lead and assist in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through lessons learned initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes aligned with overall company quality objectives and initiatives.
  • Lead the Quality Management Review, actively participating in quality management meetings.
  • Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
  • Undertake and plan internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO9001/2015 and other quality standards.
  • Observe and align with the aims and objectives of the Company Mission and Statement, as well as the Quality Policy.
Skills Required:
  • Highly motivated team player.
  • Good understanding of quality-focused, high-technology, and multidisciplinary equipment manufacturing.
  • Proven experience as a quality engineer with knowledge of ISO9001/2015, CIP, and general quality principles.
  • Familiarity with production engineering processes.
  • Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
  • Ability to accurately understand technical information, including both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and project management tools like Monday.com.
  • Ability to manage cross-department quality improvement initiatives and lead improvement teams.
  • Good understanding of ISO9001/2015 standards and processes to drive quality.
