A County Durham based accountancy firm going from strength to strength are keen to appoint a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) to support their team of Partners and trainees within the practice.As an Independent small to medium size firm their clients are predominantly locally based and include both private and not for profit sectors with a diverse range from under £1million turnover through to large £50Million plus organisations.As a qualified Accountant your role will see you supporting the Partner portfolio with first point of contact (alongside the Partner) with clients, looking after their queries and concerns whilst preparing their statutory year end accounts. This will involvereviewing the work of more junior members within the team and providing corrections, training where necessary to aid their learning and ensure a high standard of accurate accounts are produced timely to deadlines. Experience of managing WIP and billing wouldbe advantageous and enable you to become more involved in the day to day running of the accounts department.For those that seek progression this opportunity opens up the route to Manager and provides you with a variety of exposure across the practice to further your learning.The role is predominantly office based although flexibility is available to work from home for those that require it when needed.
