The CompanyNigel Wright Supply Chain are pleased to be working in partnership with K. Hartwall in their search for an experienced Operations Manager to lead their UK operation.K. Hartwall was founded in 1932 in Söderkulla, Finland. Over the years they have generated in-depth knowledge of logistics processes and their financial and environmental impacts.Today they bring logistics efficiency by delivering innovative solutions, including returnable load carriers and services around them, modernizing goods delivery in more than 60 countriesThanks to the efficient global delivery capability K. Hartwall has become the preferred partner to many companies in retail, dairy, beverage, industrial logistics and automotive. The UK is an important market for K. Hartwall and as such this is a key hire for them.The RoleA key member of the Global Logistics team, some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Schedule and manage the assembly team in relation to the customer onsite assemblies
  • Communicate effectively with the wider business to ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of changes and fluxes in demand
  • Liaise with the production facilities in Finland, China and Czech republic to ensure production plans are in line with demand
  • Develop a communication strategy for customers, and be able to react to changes in requirements
  • Build relationships with the Sales team to ensure the flow of materials and the Assembly teams are planned effectively

  • Dynamic, passionate and above all, proactive in approach
  • Self-driven, confident and able to lead from the front
  • Experience in project execution or responsible role within supply chain management
  • Able to demonstrate ability to manage projects in a dynamic , changing environment
  • Ability to build relationships with customers to enhance the customer base and attract new customers
  • Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Graduate with min 5 years’ experience in a relevant role
