Medicare First is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time working within the OlderPerson Team based in Darlington . The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in childrens services and be registered with the SWE.The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £26-27per hour and is aninitial 3-month contract.duties include: The case worker element of the team, will enable the provision of short term social work with adults aged 18+ with a range of complex needs in the Darlington area, working proactively with service users, their families,carers and other relevant professionals. The dynamic, fast paced nature of the team is underpinned by a strong commitment to the principles underpinning The Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation. We are looking for people who are committed to strength-basedpractice, focusing on enabling people as much as possible to build on their own networks and strengths as a means of resolving situations and meeting their needs. The successful applicants will also be able to, through gathering information from initial contacts,make appropriate and sound decisions as to what action needs to be taken, such as referring people for assessments under Care Act 2014, as to whether safeguarding issues are indicated, or signposting people to partner agencies and services.
