Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUPermanent contractDays only£14.88 per hour or £29,402 per annumOvertime available @ time &and double timeTHE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our client based in Durham. The right candidate will be joining a global leading company within their field. The company in question provide engineering solutions to a varietyof sectors across the world.THE ROLE

  • Diagnose faults and instigate repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties on a range of equipment including isostatic, pneumatic and hydraulic presses, mixing machines, cranes, ovens and kilns.
  • Organise, plan and provide PPM.
  • Provide support and supervision of external contractors during the completion of works on the premises.
  • Work alongside team leaders to identify concerns and rectify machine problems.
  • Hands on approach to machine maintenance.
  • Assist with the safe decommissioning of old plant/equipment and the safe installation/commissioning of new.
THE PERSON
  • Time served electrically biased in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Electrical/mechanical Qualified - City and Guilds or Equivalent Level 3 or HNC (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
  • Fault finding
  • Pro-active in approach to duties
  • PLC programming advantageous
