Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate and achievable financial targets
  • Conduct regular analysis of financial data, including revenue, expenses and budgets, to provide insights on cost reduction, profitability, and performance trends
  • Analyse product costs, manufacturing expenses and overheads to identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and pricing strategies
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and analyse actual financial results against budgeted figures, investigating and explaining any significant deviations and recommending corrective actions if necessary
  • Collaborate with management teams to develop financial plans, strategies, and long-term business projections, considering factors such as market trends, industry benchmarks, and company objectives
  • Conduct profitability analysis of products, services, and business segments to identify areas of growth, margin improvement, and resource optimization
  • Implement and monitor cost control measures, evaluating the effectiveness of operational processes and identifying opportunities for streamlining and improving efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies, and participate in internal and external audits as required
  • Use financial systems, software, and tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, streamline processes, and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Financial Director
THE PERSON
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualification
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and cost accounting methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in financial management software, advanced Excel, and other relevant tools
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements as an advantage
