Injection Mould Process Technician

Job Description

The CompanyOur client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking for a skilled Injection Mould Process Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.The Role

• Worth together with Process Technicians on all adjacent shifts to provide efficient turnover of operations from one shift to another.
• Identify potential problems with machinery, moulds, process criteria, and auxiliary equipment and any other item that could interfere with quality requirements and meeting production schedules. Use the red tag system and make recommendation on the repair.
• Maintain setup sheets and logging process changes on jobs during production.
• Take responsibility for process set up including moulds setup, press setup. Auxiliary equipment set up and all other requirements to bring a job into production.
• Perform daily machine, mould and auxiliary equipment preventative maintenance and light maintenance on equipment.
• Other responsibilities include recording and performing process adjustments, moulding techniques, moulding machine operations, auxiliary equipment operations, monitoring of cycle times, and keeping scrap rates to a minimum.
• Quality
• Coordinate all daily cell functions to ensure continued efficient operation of the production equipment, personal utilisation, whilst maintaining product quality.
• Cooperation with other departments to ensure that product quality meets customers expectations.
• Complete all job-related reports and documentation in a timely manner such as line clearance, machine setups, process data etc.
• Perform, verify and or document all required in process data, such as control on first and last shot charts, process deviations, out-of-control conditions etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems contribution to downtime, inefficiency, and scrap.
• Support management in developing and maintaining an environment where Continuous Improvement (CI) is the norm and technical and business capability is valued and sustained.
• Actively support in CI activities and management directed initiatives to improve team and department success.
• Approach changes with positivity and flexibility, influencing across the business, acting as a feedback channel, and sharing best practice and learnings.

• Possess high attention to detail.
• Experience within injection moulding essential.
• Understanding of process improvements on injection moulding machines.
• Educated to BTEC level 3 in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Change control ref CC1574.
• Understanding of ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, ISO 18001.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Shift pattern as follows:5 Late shifts Monday to Friday (14:15-22:00) followed by5 Night Shifts Sunday to Friday am (20:00-07:00) followed by7 Day Shifts Monday to Sunday (06:15-14:30 Mon-Fri & 06:15-18:30 Sat & Sun) followed by 7 rest days; This cycle then repeats.
