Job Description

Our client is a large, community-focussed institution based in County Durham.We are delighted to be working with them exclusively to recruit a permanent HR Advisor. The position will provide HR administrative support in addition to assisting the Head of HR with other HR activities including but not limited to: Employee Relations;Recruitment; HR Policy Review; and HR Projects. This role will suit an aspiring HR Advisor who has previous and/or current experience of working at the HR Administrator or HR Assistant level.Main responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of the HR team to provide a professional, efficient and consistent HR Service across the organisation.
  • Be the first point of contact for all People related queries.
  • Provide HR guidance on a range of People matters including: Terms and Conditions; Absence; Disciplinaries; Grievances; and Organisational Change.
  • Take responsibility for all HR administrative activities across the Employee Lifecycle.
  • Help develop and maintain efficient and effective HR administrative processes.
  • Produce reporting to provide key HR information to the business including Headcount, Turnover, Absence, and EDI.
  • Support in the processing of Payroll.
  • Assist with all recruitment and onboarding related activities.
  • Ad hoc HR project work as required.
The successful candidate will:
  • Be able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
  • Have excellent HR administration skills.
  • Be highly organised and able to work at pace in a complex environment.
  • Be a confident and professional communicator.
  • Have a drive to support with continuous improvement activities.
