Home Support Worker1 x 27hr PermanentSalary Grade 5 £20,092 - £22,183 (pro-rata to hours worked) * hourly rate of £10.41 rising to £11.49VACANCY NO: AHS/22/133We are looking to appoint enthusiastic Home Support Workers within a unit that provides an extremely high standard of care in a short break/respite setting for people with learning disabilities based in Durham.You will work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends, for which enhancements will be paid.The postholder will be working in a CQC Outstanding service as a member of a small, dedicated team that strive to provide the very highest standards of care and support to people with a learning disability. Full training will be given to enable the post-holdersupport with moving and handling, administering medication, undertaking personal care.Applicants should have experience of working in a caring environment/working with people who have a learning disability/specialist/complex needs/behaviours that may challenge.Required Qualifications:NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. Applicants must be prepared to complete NVQ Level 3.It is anticipated that interviews are to be held week commencing 21st March 2022.Interviews may be held remotely via Microsoft Teams.The successful applicants for these posts will be required to apply for Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.**Covid-19 VaccinationThis role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination unlessexemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses.
