Job Description

Environmental CoordinatorPermanentTees Valley£34kSellick partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Environmental Coordinator for a Social housing organisation based in Tees Valley.The Environmental Coordinator will be expected to support the development and implementation of a group wide approach to measure, manage and improve our environmental impacts.Responsibilities of the Environmental Coordinator:

  • Support the development of an organisational approach to environmental management
  • Support the development of a group wide environmental aspects, risk and legislation register
  • Work with internal teams to identify areas of risk and agree methods of mitigation
  • Support the delivery of a group wide environmental impacts action plan, to reduce the organisations environmental impacts and carbon footprint in line with agreed KPIs and timescale
  • Support the implementation of an approach to ensure all group policies and procedures support Thirteens approach to environmental management and legislative needs, as identified
  • Promote and raise awareness with internal and external stakeholders of thirteens approach to managing environmental impacts and the wider climate change agenda
  • Seek and build beneficial relationships with external stakeholders, such as LAs regulatory authorities and environmental specialist
  • Work alongside the Environmental Impacts Manager to ensure the successful delivery of environmental projects taking the lead on specific projects as appropriate
Requirements of the Environmental Coordinator:
  • Degree level qualification, ideally in Environmental/Housing discipline, or equivalent demonstratable professional experience
  • IEMA Practitioner or working towards
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience delivering environmental management systems
