The CompanyMy client is a well established business working in the manufacture and supply or a large range of specialist products and equipment. With a number of physical stores and online trading platform they are well placed to continue their growth under current conditions.The RoleYou will join a team of developers working on the migration of their existing platform to a new AWS based solution. Your role will be to review and understand the legacy code, looking at how processes are currently coded then capturing the business logic in order to design the services that will form the new application.The PersonCandidates will need to have strong Delphi skills, ideally currently working in Delphi, however an awareness of cloud based services, AWS, Azure or GCP, would be beneficial. You will need to be comfortable working in a hands-on role and will also need demonstrate excellent analytical skills. The client are open to offering to cross train the Delphi team to ensure that they are able to move on to develop and support the new AWS based solution.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to cross train but also those who are happy to work in Delphi. The client are likely to recruit a number of developers some who may chose to work through this transformation project, staying with Delphi, then move on whereas others will take the opportunity to cross train.
