Job Description

Assistant Showroom Manager - Wall & Floor TilesJob Title: Assistant Showroom Manager - Wall & Floor TilesIndustry Sector: Showroom Manager, Retail Showrooms, Sales, Wall Tiles, Distribution, Mosaics, Porcelain, Ceramic, Glass, StoneLocation: Durham and surrounding areasRemuneration: £26,500 + uncapped commission Benefits: Full Benefits PackageThe role of the Assistant Showroom Manager - Wall & Floor Tiles will involve:

  • Assistant Retail Showroom Manager position, selling a manufactured and distributed range of wall & floor tiles such as; porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, mosaic tiles and glass & stone tiles
  • Supporting with all aspects of managing the retail team and ensuring day-to-day smooth running of the show room
  • Generating sales through retail and trade customers
  • Assisting with managing the costs and overheads, monthly sales targets and all other factors affecting P&L
  • Ensuring that the showroom sales targets are achieved and profits are increased
  • Provide training and continuously develop new and existing staff
  • Monitor the market, customer activity, pricing and tactics to increase sales and stay competitive
  • Upsell and cross sell products wherever possible
  • Ensure the showroom is fully stocked and displays are presentable
The ideal applicant will be a Retail Showroom Manager - Wall & Floor Tiles with:
  • Ideally will have man management and sales experience, ideally within the tiling industry however open on product
  • Experience of having sold into distribution, ideally retail showrooms
  • Ideally will be ambitious and driven with the hope of managing their own showroom
  • Tile experience is not essential, our client is open to many interior product backgrounds such as; adhesives, office furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, fabrics, wall coverings, wallpapers, ceilings, soft furnishings, floor coverings etc
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Enthusiastic, sales driven individual
