Job Description

Durham University are looking to appoint an experienced Oracle Applications Analyst with knowledge of ERP systems, to join the department’s friendly and high activity Business Management Information Systems Team.Salary £26,715- £32,817 - 2 year fixed term contractAs a part of the Business Management Information Systems Team, you will be involved in the design, configuration, deployment, support, testing, and maintenance our Oracle products and databases, and applications supporting the Computing and Information Services department and academic colleagues in departments, colleges and research institutes.To be successful in the role you should have experience with developing applications using Oracle PL/SQL, supporting Oracle ERP/HCM Cloud applications, be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, experienced working as part of a large team and in line with ITIL Change Management processes.This is a fast paced and highly technical position.We are looking for an ambitious, driven and highly technical individual to play an instrumental part in the support and development of the University’s ERP and HCM applications.What does the role entailMain duties will include:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the Durham University Oracle applications, eBusiness Suite and HCM / ERP Cloud.
  • Assisting in the scoping and planning of changes and upgrades.
  • Developing required functionality in software according to agreed quality standards, specifications, and timescales.
  • Planning and Testing of Oracle Cloud Quarterly Releases.
  • Contributing to the development of operational service activities to ensure excellence in the stakeholder experience.
  • Promote positive and highly collaborative approaches to problem solving, helping to motivate, mentor and coach project team members.
  • Ensure that all applications follow established standards and best practice regarding security and data protection.
  • Take responsibility for:
