Job Description

Mechanical EstimatorBelfastNegotiable based on experience Full Time/PermanentWe currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator & CAD/Revit Technician to join our team.The company is an award-winning manufacturer, specialising in residential ventilation systems, based just outside BelfastAs a leading UK manufacturer, the company designs and produces a wide range of products from high performing Glazed-In Window Vents to market leading Heat Recovery Ventilation systems (HRV/MVHR). Brookvent is expanding its operations and we’re looking fora determined individual to be part of our team.We are an ambitious company with year on year growth and would encourage the successful candidate to grow and further their career with us. Have a read through the job description and get in touch if you meet the requirements outlined below.Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality working drawings for Mechanical Ventilation systems using Revit or AutoCAD software.
  • Develop designs for both small, and large-scale projects.
  • Review and evaluate tender specification documents to ascertain project requirements and suitability of designs, proposed mechanical products & materials.
  • Produce accurate take-offs from self-generated and consultant issued project design drawings.
  • Provide compliant, accurate and competitive quotations to the Sales Team.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities within a project.
  • Liaise with the Sales Teams, Consultants and Contractors whenever necessary.
  • Assist customers directly with product and design enquiries.
  • Any other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in Estimation, construction drawing take-offs and providing project tenders.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical proficiency within the Mechanical Building Services industry, particularly in the HVAC sector would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working within the residential construction/ architecture sector would be advantageous.
Remuneration
  • Salary negotiable dependent on experience
  • 30 days’ annual leave including stats
  • Additional long service annual leave
  • Company pension scheme
  • Company sick pay
  • 37.5hrs per week. 8.30-5 Mon to Thurs, 8.30 - 2.30 Fri
