Exciting Permanent Career Opportunity - BelfastReed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a well established client in the outskirts of Belfast who have an exciting new permanent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant.The Role:Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor and working as part of a team of three, the role will assist with month end close and support the daily activities within the finance department.The role will touch on multiple functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Banking.More specific duties will involve:Prepare a range of Journals each month from basic to advanced, with significant reliance on use of Microsoft excelPost Journals to ERP systemComplete monthly routine reports for corporate officeComplete account reconciliations for reviewAssist with internal and external customer and supplier queries when they arise, trouble shoot any ad-hoc issueAssist AP clerk with processing of supplier invoicesAssist AR clerk with maintaining the AR subledger, processing payments and customer invoicesProcess Company and Employee credit card transactionsActively contribute ideas for improvements in processes and controls to save time and better safeguard company assetsThe Person:The Post holder will have an advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and experience using an EPR system for example SAP, IFS or OracleThe Post holder will have three+ years accounts experience, ideally from the manufacturing industryThe Post holder will have experience with Accounts Payable & Receivable, Fixed Assets, bank and inventoryThe Post holder will hold an AAT / IATI qualification of equivalentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to join a stable and successful, hard-working team environmentPlease get in touch with Lizzy Lyons on / and email an up to date cv to
