Job Description

Ventilation Estimator | Dunfermline | Full TimeOur client provides energy efficient ventilation solutions for sustainable homes.The company has become well known for its highly efficient and Passivhaus certified MVHR systems that stand out with their excellent control technology, optimal real heat recovery rates, low energy consumption and last but not least, very silent operation.The team provide the world leading MVHR systems for Passivhaus, Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB), EnerPHit renovation projects, low energy developments and high-quality new builds. The company specifies to best practice methods and beyond.The employer is looking for a trainee, who wants to become part of a technical team, within a small, but growing company and a dynamic industry. This opportunity is ideal for those candidates seeking to develop skills in Passivhaus, nearly zero energy, andlow energy developments.You will be an estimator of ducted MVHR systems for mostly domestic applications. The work is mainly office based within the Fife area.Are you the right person for the job

  • You must be able to use your own initiative while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Good computing skills with experience using MS Office
  • Customer-focus, good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Although not essential, the candidate should preferably have a technical/ engineering background or have an interest in developing skills within this area
  • Willingness to learn and keep on learning
What will your role as a Ventilation Estimators look like
  • Dealing with enquiries from self-builders, architects, installation companies
  • Measuring of plans to various scales
  • Working with an Excel based calculation program
  • Developing bespoke ventilation strategies
  • Be in contact with customers, architects and other building professionals via phone, email or in person and respond to enquiries
  • Participating in exhibitions
  • Assisting with the assembly of ventilation material
