Job Description

Ventilation Designer | Dunfermline | Full Time | £21,500£23,000 per annum, depending on experienceOur client provides energy efficient ventilation solutions for sustainable homes.The company has become well known for its highly efficient and Passivhaus certified MVHR systems that stand out with their excellent control technology, optimal real heat recovery rates, low energy consumption and last but not least, very silent operation.The team provide the world leading MVHR systems for Passivhaus, Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB), Enerphit renovation projects, low energy developments and high-quality new builds.The employer is looking for a trainee, who wants to become part of a design team, within a small, but growing company and a dynamic industry. This opportunity is ideal for those candidates seeking to develop skills in Passivhaus, nearly zero energy, andlow energy developments.You will be a designer of ducted MVHR systems for mostly domestic applications. The work is mainly office based within the Fife areaAre you the right person for the job

  • You must be able to use their own initiative while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Good computing skills with experience using MS Office
  • Revit and AutoCAD experience
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Although not essential, the candidate should preferably have a technical/engineering background or have an interest in developing skills within this area
  • Fitness for manual handling
What will your role as a Ventilation Designer look like
  • Developing bespoke ventilation strategies
  • Design bespoke ductwork systems with Revit, a 3d design tool, with occasional AutoCAD use
  • Do material take offs
  • Be in contact with customers, architects and other building professionals via phone, email or in person and respond to enquiries
  • Site visits
  • Participating in exhibitions
  • Receiving material deliveries, preparing outgoing material
  • Assisting with the assembly of ventilation material
