An opportunity is available for a Senior/Quantity Surveyor to join a major independent House Builder in Central Scotland.The role: The role is to obtain and evaluate information to ensure realistic reporting of the financial position of projects, and to maximise the potential margin of those projects. Whilst liaising with Contractors, Suppliers and Clients to ensure information, costs,profitability and value meet the requirements of designated project/ contracts.Key Responsibilities: * Checking and analysing Building Contracts and identifying risk and opportunity.* Prepare monthly valuation reports for management team.* Prepare and control of contract budgets for projects, including monitoring and updating on a monthly basis. * Procurement of subcontractors, and placing orders with subcontractors, to timescales to ensure that programmes are met.* Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Clients representative, including valuation of variations.* Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.* Prepare cash flow forecast for designated projects* Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors, including appropriate Notices.* Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.* Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.* Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale.* Managing procurement of project warranties.* Ad hoc duties assigned by your manager in connection with operational requirements ensuring works are completed within required time frames.Required Criteria: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalentFull UK driving licence.CSCS card holder IT literacy including Word, Excel, and OutlookBudget Compilation & ManagementWhats on offer:A market leading salary up to £55,000 Car allowance of £5000/yearHybrid working optionsAnnual Bonus Scheme - up to 20%Pension35 days holidayLife InsuranceAdditional benefitsSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
