Job Description

The Fife Area-Wide Psychology Service is a large multi-specialty service, with extensive involvement in training, research and service development. The service has close links with Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee and St. Andrews Universities’ D. Clin. Psych and MSc courses. Professional development, CPD and service-based research activity is well supported.You will work within the core learning disability psychology service across Fife and the specialist multidisciplinary forensic LD services for adults. Clinical Psychology staff in LD are line managed within the Psychology Service, but you will work collaboratively with MDT colleagues in forensic LD. The You will have a clinical role across Fife for both community and inpatients.You will provide expert psychological assessment and interventions for primarily adults with a wide range of complex psychological problems; specialist advice and supervision to colleagues; and take a lead in forensic service development and evaluation.You will contribute to the development of the Fife-wide Learning Disability Psychology Services, working with Consultant Clinical Psychologist colleagues, mental health colleagues, education services and other stakeholders.You will also take an active part in the Area Psychology Service seeking opportunities for professional development and contributing to that of others.The post would be based at Lynebank Hospital, DunfermlineFor informal enquiries, please contact Dr Audrey Espie, Head of LD Psychology by e-mail or on.A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom.
