Job Description

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable and well-established accountancy practice based in Dunfermline to hire an experienced Payroll Senior to join the firm. As a Payroll Senior, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes for a portfolio of clients. Reporting into the Partners, your primary focus will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, while adhering to relevant legislationand regulations, and lead a small team of Payroll Assistants.On a daily basis your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the complete payroll cycle for a diverse client base, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle all aspects of payroll administration, including data entry, calculation of wages and salaries, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Process and reconcile payroll data, including tax withholdings, employee benefits, pension contributions, and statutory payments.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation, tax codes, and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide guidance on payroll-related matters.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate payroll reports, including payslips, summaries, and tax forms.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software as required.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you not only have first class payroll experience but that you have performed a similar role within an accountancy firm in a bureau environment.
