Job Description

The Nutrition & Dietetic Department is a Fife wide service providing Dietetic care to one Acute hospital, Primary Care hospitals and the community. The department is currently arranged into clinical groups for; Acute, Diabetes, Mental Health, Nutritional Support, Older People and Infant Nutrition & Paediatrics. There are also specialist Dietitians working in the Health Promotion / Dietetics Food & Health Team and working with the Prescribing Teams.The department runs regular department training sessions and supports staff in their continuing professional development. The department has good clerical support, IT, internet and library facilities.Job Purpose: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Dietetic Secretary to join the Dietetic Department at Lynebank Hospital / Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.We are looking for an individual to join our department to provide administrative support to the Dietetic Department.Requirements of the post:- Significant secretarial experience;- Recognised Secretarial Qualification e.g. HNC or HND or relevant experience;- Skilled knowledge of Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint;- Able to work as part of a team;- Flexible approach to the working environment;- You will work well under pressure and have a professional manner;- The ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as individually are essential to this post;- You should also possess excellent communication skills.Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.For informal enquiries please contact Amanda Sirrell, Office Manager, Nutrition & Clinical Dietetic Department onor email: .NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom.
