Job Description

Nursing Home, Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Mental HealthRef: KPJ2635£17.50 p/h + Paid Breaks/Circa £43.6K | 48 Hours – Days | Elderly & Dementia HomeA leading elderly and dementia home near Lennoxtown currently requires an experienced Registered Nurse to work as Deputy Manager.Details of this Nurse Deputy Manager position and what the home is offering:

  • 40 hours per week on a permanent contract, with 1 supernumerary shift per fortnight and approx. 1 in 3 weekends required
  • A great hourly pay rate of £17.50, which is in line with NHS Band 6 rates and equates to a salary in the region of £43,680
  • Staff transport is available from designated pick-up points in the local area, and free staff parking is available
  • A comprehensive induction, ongoing learning and development and some great staff incentives
  • If staff have to self-isolate due to COVID-19 they receive 80% of normal working pay
    • As Nurse Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home and will lead the home in their absence. You will be responsible for managing and monitoring the planning and delivery of care and will ensure care plans and medication records are correctly updated, undertaking regular clinical audits and supervisions.Applicants for this Deputy Home Manager position should meet the following criteria:
  • NMC registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RN1/RNA, Mental Health Nurse/RMN/RMHN, or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD
  • Experienced in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a clinical setting, ideally within the elderly care sector
  • Demonstrate proven elderly and dementia care experience and have undertaken recent CPD, ideally in this specialism
  • Confident leading, developing and motivating a team of Nurses and HCAs
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Care Inspectorate essential standards
