Job Description

UpholstererTemp-perm£11-£14 p/hourKingswinfordThe company:Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing firm in Kingswinford.They are looking for an experienced Upholsterer due to major business wins.The job:

  • Installing foam and batting to the framework of office chairs and break out furniture - re-upholster if required.
  • Installing and repairing furniture webbing and and seating springs.
  • Stretching out and installing fabric or leather covering.
  • Stitching, nailing and gluing fabric into place.
  • Smoothing imperfections and completing quality checks on completed products.
  • Working alongside the other members of the seating team.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of high quality upholstery in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to work within specific time frames to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Punctual and conscientious with an excellent eye for both quality and detail.
  • Full knowledge and use of upholstery tools, including hot knives, nail/staple guns, and rivets with a high regard for health and safety in the workplace.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of a role that requires lifting and manipulating heavy items as well as standing at a bench for 8 hours per day.
