Our client, an established volume manufacturing client specialising in mould tooling and press tooling are seeking an ambitious individual to join them on a permanent contract as a Tool Room ImproverThroughout 2020s uncertainty my client have continued to excel across all niche markets in which they specialise in, this has seen systematic growth over the course of the year. This growth has now enabled them to create a new opportunity for a Tool Room ImproverToolmaker to join there highly experienced and capable team.Duties will include but not limited to:" Re-work of various tooling for an array of products." Manual Machining - including Colchester lathes and Bridgeport Millers." Grinding and linishing work." Reading engineering drawings from various CAD Systems." Interpreting drawings into finished tooling." Upgrading tooling dependant on customer specific requirements." Documenting tooling and ensuring it complies with strict quality assurance legislation." Supporting shop floor facility with an ever changing work load.Ideally you will have previous experience working within a tool room and have a formal qualification in engineering.Desired qualifications include:" Advanced Modern Apprentice in Engineering" City & Guilds in Engineering." NVQ Level 2 in Engineering."
