Job Description

Server & Desktop Support EngineerSalary£30,000 - £32,000 + BenefitsLocation -DudleyServer, Desktop, Windows, Active Directory, Hyper V, VM-Ware, O365A Server & Desktop Support Engineer is required to join a busy managed service business based in the Dudley area. The Server & Desktop Support Engineer will be working as part of a busy team responsible for designing, configuring, and managing the core serverand infrastructure for clients. Candidates with experience of providing technical support for hardware or software issues in a managed service environment would be well received.Due to growth and internal promotions this company, a technology focused business based in the Dudley area requires an experienced Server & Desktop Support Engineer for a new permanent role. In this position you will be required to:

  • Provide technical support for hardware and Software issues
  • Assist with the design and deployment of technical projects
  • Liaise with 3rd party support providers on technical issues
  • Responsible for service tickets 1st to 3rd line
  • Attend customer sites to resolve support issues
  • Technical contact for customers and support queries
  • Assist with managing the internal infrastructure
The Server & Desktop Engineer should have the following skills or experience:
  • Previous experience in similar Server/Desktop role
  • Experience of providing hardware/software support
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Experience of Windows Server, Exchange, Veeam Backup, Active Directory, Hyper V, VM-Ware
  • Able to work methodically
  • Able to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Experience in a managed service environment
