Job Description

Accounts Assistant (Purchase/Sales Ledger)Brierley Hill - Permanent (Full Time)An exciting time to join this leading manufacturing business based in Brierley Hill. This valued client of ours is looking for someone to join their finance team as an Accounts Assistant - offering you a lot of variation in your day-to-day duties.This post is responsible for day-to-day processing of financial information. This is predominantly purchase ledger based but will also involve assisting the Accounts Manager as appropriate with other finance responsibilities.Tasks:

  • To oversee purchase ledger to include processing of supplier invoices and liaising with other departments over queries.
  • To administer company credit/petrol cards
  • Fixed asset register
  • Sales ledger processing
  • To carry out all other administrative tasks delegated by the Accounts Manager
Required attributes:Qualifications: Educated to GCSE/O-Level. Ideally some bookkeeping/finance qualification, AAT etc.Abilities: Able to manage all aspects of the role and prioritise to ensure that deadlines are met.Personal Attributes:
  • Organised and efficient person who is a good team player who is self-aware.
  • Flexibility to multi-task with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Willing to learn.
I.T. Skills: Excel, Word, Datafile, Pegasus (Desirable)You will have previous experience in a similar role ideally in a fast-paced environment. Desirable to have experience of manufacturing and/or construction.Working Hours:Monday to Friday 08.30 am to 17.00 pm(Flexible if you prefer to start a little earlier and want to finish a little earlier)
