Job Description

  • Maintain quality standards to ISO 9001
  • Report to the board on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement
  • Improve the QMS system and ensure processes are being followed throughout the business
  • Ensure the awareness of customer requirements throughout the business
  • Assessing the products quality by testing for a range of features and seeing how the product performs and conforms to, Ingress Protection ratings, BSEN 61439-2 and is compliant to customer drawings and specification
  • Liaise with external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process
  • Monitoring the production line and doing periodic quality control checks in line with Company procedures
  • Control and improve the problem resolution process to fully resolve quality issues by investigating all quality issues and producing written cause and corrective action reports
  • Provide non-conformance reports
  • Working together with project leaders to discuss solutions to quality issues
  • Producing production plans for new products to guarantee quality from stage one
  • Producing reports on design, pre-production, and production to check on the quality status of the product at all stages of production to ensure the product is being built in the most efficient way that provides the best quality
  • Producing department quality performance reports to identify performance and provide plan for improvement where necessary
  • Scheduling project plans along with the project team to fit project deadlines
  • Reporting to HR repeat offenders and identify retraining needs or other action required
  • To supply certificate of conformance to customers for individual products
  • Utilise lean manufacturing tools to improve quality
  • Lead waste reduction projects and process management
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and systems are maintained
  • Lead internal audits
  • Auditing materials provided by suppliers to assure quality
  • Maintain the visual management of the engineering and factory
  • Conduct final inspections on the shop floor where required
  • Provide training on the quality system where required to employees
  • Management of customer complaints
  • Continuing education on newly developing Quality Control techniques
    • About you
  • Must possess practical engineering and manufacturing experience
  • Excellent understanding of ISO9001
  • Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry
  • Understanding of technical drawings and specifications
