Job Description

Are you looking for a new challenge We are looking for a Senior Administrator to support a range of services in Dudley and the Black Country which supports children, young people, and their families.This role is 24 hours per week to be worked over 4 days. We require an administrator who can work well on their own initiative and as part of a team.Location:The role is based at our offices at Brooklands, Great Cornbow, Halesowen, B63 3AB with some occasional flexibility of home working.Working Pattern:24 hours per week to be worked over 4 daysWithin your application we must see experience/knowledge of:Experience of managing financial information and systems, including dealing with income and expenditure, financial reporting, and auditsExperience of supervising and managing staffDemonstration of previous experience in a secretarial and administrative roleExperience of using data bases, IT systems and recording systems to include Microsoft packagesDemonstrating the ability to successfully, manage a diverse and busy workloadBe flexible and adapt to meet the needs of the servicesPA 5 Additional InformationThis is an exciting and interesting opportunity to work as part of our Black CountryBarnardos team. You will provide administrative support for a cluster of diverse services which are managed by 3 Childrens Services ManagersYou may often be the first point of contact for the young people, parents, families, and professionals that we work with, either by telephone, face to face or email, and will be expected to provide a friendly, helpful, and supportive response.You will be required to be flexible, adaptable, and reliable with an enthusiastic personality.Excellent communication skills are essential, alongside office experience, to include experience of taking and receiving phone calls and managing busy servicesYou will be required to undertaking a range of administrative tasks (as detailed in the generic job description) to support our servicesYou will be required to record on internal and external recording systemsYou will also have specific responsibilities for issuing petty cash, raising Purchase Orders, processing invoices, ordering using our credit card, updating spreadsheets, and reviewing payroll reports as well as supporting with budget preparationYou will be required to support with data collation and analysis; therefore, it is essential you have knowledge of using excel spreadsheetsYou will have line management of other administrators, offering supervision, development, and leadershipYou will support with recruitment, processing vacancies and updating DBS checksWe thrive for our workplace to be a supportive and Trauma Informed environment for people to work in.
