Mental Health Social Worker- advanced practitioner £45 Per HourDudley Purpose of the job Where identified to undertake Mental Health Assessments and undertake all urgent and non urgent mental health act interventions (under the mental health act)The AMHP has specific legal duties under the MHA,the prime one being the pivotal responsibility for co-coordinating a MHA assessment when someone presents as mentally unwell or disordered,obtaining and assessing information about the individual from other professionals,family and carers.The AMHP will also undertake planned assessments such as guardianship,community treatment orders( service users remains legally detained under the MHA but discharged to live in the community under supervision)You will be responsible for assessing individuals needs and creating a unique care plan to help them achieve their goals. You will then work with colleagues in your service to put the right support in place.The post holder will utilize their social work knowledge and skills within the context of multi-professional teams to form relationships with patients, their families, and service providers to formulate an accurate assessment of need in line with local andnational policies.
