Mechanical Fitter - NightshiftLocation: Dudley, DY1 4DA.Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum depending on experience.Contract: Full time, night shift. Basic hours of work will be 6.00pm - 4.30am Monday to Thursday.An exciting position has become available for a full-time Fitter to join an experienced and knowledgeable team based in Dudley.Role Requirements: Experienced mechanical fitter with a preferred knowledge of industrial gearbox assembly and refurbishment Transferable skills from a similar engineering background would be an advantage. Basic electric motor knowledge would be an advantage. Experienced in the fitting of bearings and other precision components Capable of using precision workshop measuring equipment (i.e., micrometers and verniers) Able to read engineering drawings Experienced in the use of general mechanical workshop equipment including horizontal and vertical presses Trained and experienced in the use of overhead cranes and slinging Forklift license and experience is an advantage Ability to work as part of a teamRole Responsibilities (not limited to) Site attendance & site assessment where required Stripping, overhauling, and repairing industrial gearboxes, plus other general mechanical equipment Emergency call out to customers requirements as part of a weekend rota system.
