Job Description

My client are a long established industrial chemical product manufacturer. Due to increasing demand, they are looking to bring on board a Mechanical Fitter to assist with machinery maintenance and installation. The ideal candidate will be apprentice trainedin a mechanical discipline and have a background in industrial mechanical fitting. You must also be based within commutable distance of Dudley.Mechanical Fitter Position Overview

  • Installation of industrial plant machinery and equipment
  • Pipework and welding
  • Reactive and ppm on pumps, gearboxes, seals and pipework
  • Inspecting and testing components, including pressure testing and commissioning
  • Working from technical drawings and manuals
  • Complying with company health and safety
  • Using computerised maintenance management
Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements
  • Mechanical apprentice trained or equivalent
  • It would be beneficial to be trained on Abrasive Wheels, MEWPs and Confined Spaces
  • A background in industrial mechanical fitting
  • Experience working on pumps, gearboxes, seals and pipework
  • Ability to work from technical drawings
  • Based within commutable distance of Dudley
Mechanical Fitter Position Remuneration
  • Salary £26,000 - £29,000
  • 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
  • 38 Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00
