Job Description

Management Accountant Location: DudleyTemporary OngoingGleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a dynamic manufacturing company seeking a talented and motivated Management Accountant to join their finance team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and providing insightful recommendationsto drive business performance.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas of improvement and drive operational efficiency.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budget and forecast, and provide explanations and recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of internal controls and financial procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in the preparation of business cases, cost analyses, and investment evaluations for new projects and initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to department managers, assisting them in understanding and managing their budgets effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may impact the organisations financial performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and experience with standard costing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings
