Industrial Gearbox FitterLocation: Dudley. DY1 4DA.Salary: Starting at £31,500 per annum scaled up depending on experience.Contract: Full time, nightshift. Basic hours of work will be 6.00pm - 4.30am Monday to Thursday.An exciting position has become available for a full-time Fitter to join an experienced and knowledgeable team based in Dudley.Role Requirements Experienced mechanical fitter with knowledge of industrial gearbox assembly and refurbishment Experienced in the fitting of bearings and other precision components Capable of using precision workshop measuring equipment (i.e., micrometers and verniers) Able to read engineering drawings Experienced in the use of general mechanical workshop equipment including horizontal and vertical presses Trained and experienced in the use of overhead cranes and slinging Forklift license and experience is an advantage Ability to work as part of a teamRole Responsibilities (not limited to) Site attendance & site assessment where required Stripping, overhauling, and repairing industrial gearboxes, plus other general mechanical equipment Emergency call out to customers requirements Ensuring excellent quality standards through final inspection and pass off process Following set procedures and guidelines Working on your own initiative and to tight deadlines Good housekeeping attitude Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required High degree of self-motivation Working in line with Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental standardsCompany & BenefitsHayley 247 Engineering Services specialise in providing a comprehensive range of reactive and planned mechanical engineering services to a broad and diverse range of industry sectors.
