Job Description

Fabricator WelderLocation - Dudley Rate of pay - £11 p/h, increasing to £11.97 A Fabricator welder is required for a hugely successful steel manufacturing company based in the Dudley area. Great location making it easy to commute by car or public transport. With a solid reputation in the area, along with a superb machining department and facilities on site, this business is a great opportunity to establish yourself as a valued member of the team.Duties include:

  • MIG welding of staircases, balustrades, step overs, ladders and other structural work
  • Light fabrication of section, flat, sheet, tube and bar, cutting or bending if required
  • Working from engineering drawings in 2D and 3D
  • Quality checking of all finished welds for accuracy
  • Grinding, dressing and finishing ready for products to be dispatched
    • A background in fabrication and MIG welding is essential for this role, along with the flexibility towards overtime when offeredWorking hours are 6am - 3pm Monday to Thursday, 6am - 1:30pm on FridayTheres also an evening shift available if you prefer working lates, which is 3pm - 1am Monday to Thursday. This pays an additional shift premium on top of the hourly rate.The rate of pay will initially start at £11 p/h for days, increasing to £11.97 p/h after a review with the line manager.Please note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
