Job Description

QTS English Teacher required for a small SEMH school. This established school is looking to add an experienced English Teacher to a small team of experienced staff. If you are an English Teacher looking for a new and rewarding opportunity, look no further!This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team of teaching and support staff who are committed to making a difference.As an English Teacher you will be teaching small classes of Key Stage 3 & 4 students up to GCSE . Leadership are supportive and are invested in making sure that the needs of staff and students are fully supported. Good behaviour management skills are requiredfor this role. Many of the students have EHCPs or have been excluded from mainstream education. This school are looking for an English Teacher who is passionate about breaking down barriers to education and inspiring a love for English. You must be a QTS orQTLS English Teacher to be considered for this role. Job Role:

  • Teaching English up to GCSE (KS3&KS4)
  • Working with a small, established team of teaching and support staff
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that stretch students
  • Communicating with a fantastic pastoral and SEMH team to support all students effectively
  • Identifying gaps in subject knowledge for booster sessions
  • Acting as a positive role model and inspiring an interest in English!
