Murray Myers Recruitment are very pleased to be working alongside a major manufacturer based in Dudley with the recruitment of a Design Engineer based in Dudley and offering a salary of up to £40K depending on experience.Designers will develop products from initial concepts through to manufacture using their abilities to ensure seamless integration of future generations of products.Key Accountabilities :-Plan design projects from concept to sale.Use your knowledge of mechanical engineering and the injection moulding process for product optimisation to improve both design and performance.Apply innovative problem solving skills.Work with our in house specialists to develop products that maintain highest standards.Take an active, hands-on role to ensure all engineering problems are resolved thoroughly.Design and build prototypes of chosen concepts.Use our established test processes, best engineering practice and discipline to deliver robust solutions in agreed timescales.Understand tolerance analysis and design for manufacture principals.Maintain all supporting documentation to ensure accurate integration with all other departments within the company.Prepare and deliver design reviews to departmental managers and directors at board level as required.You will need to have the following skill and attributes :-A qualification at either degree level or HND and 5+ years experience in design engineering.ESSENTIAL - a working history with flow control, water flow or valve design.Previous experience of mechanical engineering.Excellent knowledge, appreciation and understanding of design for injection moulding and metal casting.Good verbal communication skills and confident presentation skills.The ability to work individually or within a team environment.
