Job Description

Seven Social Care is looking for a Anti- Social Behavioural Officer within the Housing Service for Dudley CouncilThe role: To deliver a high quality, prompt, effective and appropriate response service to reports of anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance (including statutory nuisance), and hate incidents regardless of tenure. To deliver a high level of customer satisfaction and to develop and deliver tactics and diversionary activities aimed at preventing anti-social behaviourKey Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for responding to and resolving reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB), noise nuisance (including statutory nuisance) and hate incidents across residential areas.
  • To be responsible for the development and delivery of prevention and diversionary tactics and activities relating to ASB.
  • To be responsible as the case manager for delivering customer focused and pro-active approaches to the investigation and sustainable resolution of ASB, noise nuisance and hate incidents.
  • To act as a professional witness where necessary and appropriate to do so and to attend and give evidence at court when required.
  • To be responsible for providing direct and indirect support and re-assurance to those who report ASB, noise nuisance or hate incidents.
  • To ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant information on managed cases on the ASB database and Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • To closely liaise with all customer-facing teams to meet business and service objectives, maintaining excellent working relationships.
  • To assist colleagues, demonstrate flexibility and contribute to effective team work.To be available to carry out work outside of normal office hours (evenings and weekends) as necessary for the needs of the service for example but not limited to providing advice, attending site and carrying out targeted witnessing.To promote tenancy sustainment, community cohesion, social inclusion, diversity and equal opportunities through the delivery of the ASB service.To maintain an awareness and assist in the delivery of directorate strategic plans, divisional and service plans and directorate and corporate strategies.To make effective use of information and communications technology in service delivery.To ensure the maintenance of a healthy safe and secure working environment through ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.To be responsible for maintaining appropriate relationships and partnerships within and beyond the Council.To understand and ensure compliance with relevant legislation in relation to council policy including data protection and confidentiality requirements.To be responsible for developing own effectiveness through personal development.To participate as required on projects related to the housing services or safe and sound partnership.To be an effective member of the Anti-Social Behaviour Team with particular responsibility for responding to and the prevention of ASB.To provide; contact, advice and an effective response to customers who report ASB, noise nuisance and/or hate incidents.To manage and prioritise own workload to ensure the effective and prompt responses to reports of ASB and to mitigate any risk of harm to the person reporting the complaint or the wider community.To produce performance and management information for the Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager as requested and contribute to the setting of periodical targets.To encourage feedback from customers and service users through customer satisfaction surveys and other channels as directed.To achieve service targets and to contribute to the development and continuousTo be the case manager for these complaints and to undertake assessments of risk and harm, investigate reports, develop case plans and take appropriate and proportionate action to resolve the problem reported.Applicant Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with Housing Services
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
