Job Description

We have an immediate start available for a Payroll Assistant in our Head Office in Dronfield. Experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.Working hours are Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Part time and job share applications will also be considered.Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing weekly staff hours from timesheets
  • Creating and checking payroll reports
  • Raising and creating invoices
  • Matching staff timesheets to invoices, and sending invoices out to clients
  • Inputting information for new starters on to payroll software
  • Responding to payroll and invoice queries
  • Making weekly calls to clients to discuss any unpaid invoices or invoice queries
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients, staff and internal employees
  • Creating and maintaining several financial reports
  • Calculating holiday pay payments
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a good general standard of education with a minimum of GSCE in Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Be confident in using a variety of IT systems
  • Have strong attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a confident phone manner
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Be able to meet agreed deadlines
