Job Description

  • Key player in the UK AgriTech scene, positively impacting food productivity and sustainability.
  • Career opportunity for a Data specialist looking to undertake a leadership role.
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Demonstrable experience in data modeling utilising large datasets, with knowledge of various data analysis and statistical techniques.
  • Programming expertise (ideally in SQL, Python or R).
  • Leadership experience, OR the ability to set up into a role that involves this.
  • Comfortable working in a highly varied and dynamic environment, often requiring juggling multiple projects at a time.
  • Highly beneficial (albeit not a must have); exposure to, or purely an interest in, a related sector, e.g. agriculture, environmental sustainability.
ROLE & COMPANY OVERVIEW:An established player in the AgriTech sector, with a global reach and impressive client base, this company works with household names across the AgriFood domain in order to provide a range of software and data based solutions that tackle numerous food-chainissues.Ultimately, their solutions are geared towards greater productivity and sustainability in the food sector, in addition to encouraging transparency and the adherence to ethical standards.Key to this is their small team of Data Analysts and Scientists, who are responsible for working with large datasets and creating data models that can be built into client-facing products. These models provide clients, such as farmers, supermarkets and foodprocessors, with tangible insights that can be actioned in order to hit sustainability targets and other metrics.We are looking for somebody who can lead this small team, an individual who can combine hands on skills in Data Analytics & Science with the ability to take the lead on running client projects and managing more junior Data specialists.You will need to either possess leadership / management experience, or be able to show that you are at a point in your career where youve developed the capability to step up into this capacity.Experience in domains such as Agriculture and Environmental Sustainability would be an added bonus... if not, an interest in this world and a passion for deploying your skills in a way that can help out food systems and planet!
