Job Description

Parcels Operation Manager (Droitwich)Our client is looking for a Parcels Operation Manager to join their team in Droitwich. The Parcel operation at our client is a small but vital and growing part of their business, you will be leadinga dynamic team made up of Team Leaders, Administrators,Warehouse Operatives and Drivers. Youll have a huge impact on the smooth running, planning and performance of our entire service centre.This role is based on a basic40hour week workingMondayFriday.Relevant COVID-19 precautions will be taken during the recruitment process for this roleLooking for a shift they havent mentioned Our client is happy to offer flexibility regarding shifts and hours wherever possible.Get in touch today to discuss how our client can work with you.Operations ManagerDuties:

  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Accountable for the management and supervision of the dispatch operation.
  • Manage, support and develop the operational team
  • Ensure the performance of the operation exceeds customer expectations in line with recognised contract KPIs.
  • Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Partly Responsible for compliance including H&S
  • Assist the Regional Manager in ensuring all operational performance standards are met
  • Line management responsibility for the relevant Human Resources Policies
  • Undertaking reviews as necessary and giving feedback
  • Plan and arrange for the training and development of operational staff
  • Ensure and monitor effective use of driver and vehicle resources
  • Establish and develop working relationships with the customer
  • Compile and analyse operational and financial performance data to identify service efficiencies and improvement around, MPG, Tachos, fuel and damage.
  • Coordinate site housekeeping/maintenance to ensure H&S requirements are upheld
Operations ManagerRequirements:
  • Right To Work in the UK
  • Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Able to manage, motivate and develop people
  • Budget management
  • Project management
  • KPI development and measurement
  • Ability to plan and organise effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use and understand computerised systems including TMS and WMS systems
  • High level of accuracy and numeracy, keen eye for detail
  • Transport management experience
