Job Description

The UK’s market leading manufacturer and distributor of quality timber garden products who manage the entire supply chain from raw materials to customer delivery. With a strong heritage of British manufacture, they supply to garden centres, builders’ merchants and DIY stores across the UK as well as delivering direct to end consumers.The Role: A fantastic opportunity to join the business as Marketing Manager supporting the sales and national accounts team and retail partners with all product marketing activity. Managing all marketing activity across trade and retail channels as well as direct to end-users, you will be responsible for developing the strategy through to implementation and manage a team of two plus the PR agency. Reporting to the CEO, you will be liaising with senior stakeholders on a regular basis.Key responsibilities:

  • Manage team of two to ensure all marketing activity is delivered on time
  • Managed the integrity and development of the brand
  • Manage annual brochure production and print run
  • Work with product managers and sales team to manage the delivery of all product launch materials, sales support collateral, presentations and attend customer meetings
  • Management of all POS production
  • PR - manage PR agency relationship for trade and consumer including reputation management
  • Online - use CMS (WordPress) to ensure that all product content and pricing is correct
  • Liaise with retail customers to ensure all product information is up to date on their websites
  • Manage trade shows and events and ensure showroom is correctly merchandised
  • Manage the marketing budget
    • The Candidate: You will be an experienced Marketing Manager who can work on developing an ongoing strategy but also be comfortable maintaining a hands-on, operational approach. With previous people management experience your marketing expertise will be within a tangible product environment, ideally manufacture either B2B or B2C. You will have knowledge of online and offline marketing channels, but it is essential that you have worked with print and managed brochure production. A high attention to detail and strong content writing is essential along with experience of managing online content and knowledge of SEO. This is a fast-paced environment so the need to be able to adapt and juggle multiple tasks is essential. Due to the location of the company, it is essential that you have your own transport.As well as the salary of circa £35,000, the benefits which accompany the role are as follows; pension, 25 days holiday plus BH, death in service benefits.
