This is a busy and varied Finance role requiring high levels of competency within a broad area of finance related disciplines, including bookkeeping, credit control, taxation, and fiduciary duties. The jobholder provides Finance administration and controlfor several different entities, based out of offices in Droitwich town centre.Client DetailsMy client is a specialist provider of care and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and neurodiversity needs in Worcestershire.DescriptionThe Finance Officer provides financial and business administration support to North Star and other associated companies, including a micro-housing provider. The jobholder works closely with the Board of Directors and senior managers, and has specific responsibilitiesto the business stakeholders, including Service Users, Tenants, Employees, and Commissioners.Duties are varied and involve running payroll, expenses, and accounting systems, accounts receivable and payable, trial balance and reporting, IT, data protection, and general administrative and office procedures. The jobholder is expected to observe importantdeadlines and work accurately and diligently to produce information in good time for review by the Board of Directors.The role requires the Jobholder to work with complete discretion, trust, and confidentiality, and handle sensitive information and subjects. There are robust systems of control in place with access to support and training for the jobholder to reach theirfull potential.Access to the Companys systems is granted under strict rules of discipline, and applicants are subject to background checks including DBS. Office duties include participating with the On Call / Out of Hours service as and when required, and the Jobholderis required to take the handset home on some evenings or weekends.Normal working times are 39hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00 (early finish Friday 16.30) with a 30 minute lunchbreak each day, and one out of hours shift per week (see main statement of terms and conditions for details).ProfileThis position suits an organised and self-motivated individual with a proven background in Finance administration.Previous experience of using Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll, or similarTrustworthy, with a track record of previously held positions of responsibilityAbility to be discreet and keep matters strictly confidentialStrong ICT skills are essential, with MS Office Suite experience, Excel in particularExcellent numeracy and literacy skillsVery high level of accuracyAttention to detail with analytical skillsTask driven and with good problem-solving skillsGood communication skills, both written and verbalOrganised, focused, and disciplined.
